Dates & Fees 2008

Please note that although it is best to start a course on the published starting dates, our joining dates are flexible, so it is usually possible to start at other times within a term or a course, or to stay across courses. The minimum period for enrolment is 2 weeks, but it is also possible to stay for an academic year or longer. Accommodation and Registration fees should be added to the Tuition Fees in order to calculate the final total. (see below)

A. GENERAL ENGLISH

ACADEMIC YEAR

  • 7th January - 19th December 2008 (36+ weeks), or
  • 31st March 2008 - 26th March 2009 (36+ weeks), or
  • 22nd September 2008 - 25th June 2009 (36+ weeks)

1. SPRING TERM

  • 7th January - 28th March (12 weeks)
  • 7th January - 1st February (4 weeks)
  • 4th February - 29th February (4 weeks)
  • 3rd March - 28th March (4 weeks)

2. SUMMER TERM

  • 31st March - 27th June (13 weeks)
  • 31st March - 25th April (4 weeks)
  • 28th April - 23rd May (4 weeks)
  • *27th May - 27th June (5 weeks)

*Mondays 24th March, 5th May & 26th May are public holidays.

3. SUMMER COURSES

  • Course 1: 30th June - 25th July (4 weeks)
  • Course 2: 28th July - 22nd August (4 weeks)
  • Course 3: 25th August - 19th September (4 weeks)

4. AUTUMN TERM

  • 22nd September - 19th December (13 weeks)
  • 22nd September - 17th October (4 weeks)
  • 20th October - 14th November (4 weeks)
  • 17th November - 19th December (5 weeks)

TUITION FEES (per week)

  • 2 - 8 weeks £225 (full rate)
  • 9 - 13 weeks £215* (discounted rate)
  • 14 - 24 weeks £205* (discounted rate)
  • 25+ weeks £195* (discounted rate)

*The discounted rates for tuition fees on courses longer than 8 weeks are only offered on condition that all fees are paid in advance. Otherwise, the normal weekly rate will apply.

REGISTRATION FEE: £50

The registration fee is a non-returnable "one-off" payment made in advance as part of the £100 Course Deposit. The remaining £50 is a pre-payment of tuition fees.

Evidence of payment of the £100 Course Deposit is necessary before the school can issue a letter of acceptance.

Accommodation

  1. Host family or private home - £110 (per week)
  2. Host family or private home with private bathroom facilities (limited supply)* - £160 (per week)
  3. Hotel / Guest house (average price) - £45-£110 (per night)

* This type of accomodation is in short supply and cannot be guaranteed at all times.

Methods of Payment

A. Course Deposits and fees sent in advance:
1. Either by bank transfer (details provided upon request), or
 
2. By cheque (Sterling cheque - drawn on a London bank) sent to the school.

B. Balance of fees:
should be paid by bank transfer or by cheque (as above),
travellers' cheques (in pounds Sterling),
or in cash on the first day of the course.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE SCHOOL RECEIVES THE EXACT STERLING AMOUNT, ALLOWING FOR ALL BANK CHARGES.
