How to Pay for a Course

Table of Contents

The following payment methods are available:

1. Domestic bank transfer (preferred method of payment)

Uni-pay is a payment system designed for language students that allows you to make a local bank payment in your own country or a nearby country, greatly reducing the transfer fees compared to international bank transfers. There is a small service charge (£7). We recommend this service in most cases, as it is usually the cheapest option.

To pay using Uni-Pay, visit the Uni-Pay site, register your details with them, then either make a transfer to the bank account details shown or make an online credit card payment, following the instructions. Please make sure that the total amount matches the total on the invoice you receive from the school.

Uni-Pay accepts credit card payments, with fees as follows:

  • VISA, Mastercard: £7 service charge + 2% fee
  • American Express: £7 service charge + 4% fee

2. International bank transfer

You can transfer funds directly from your bank in your home country to our bank in the UK. In this case, bank transfer charges usually have to be paid in both countries. The total charges vary, but are often around £35. The money usually takes about 3-5 days to arrive. Remember to say that you want to pay bank transfer charges separately from the total amount you want to transfer.

For bank details, please contact the school.

3. UK bankers cheque

You can pay us by cheque but only where this is drawn on a UK bank account and payable in Sterling (GBP). Cheques must be made payable to ‘Oxford House School of English’ and sent to the school.

4. Travellers’ cheques in sterling (GBP)

Except for Uni-Pay, all payments must be made in Sterling (GBP).
