Acronyms

Acronyms are an abbreviated form of a phrase, using key letters from that phrase. For example VAT for the Value Added Tax.

Some of the content on this website is technical and which means there are a few acronyms. To help you understand these acronyms we have ensured that the first use of the acronym in a page is always shown with it's expanded version.

We have also used special codes to highlight the acronym. If your browser supports these codes the full description will pop up when you hover over the acronym. It will also be highlighted with a dotted underline.
